Social media today is filled with one piece of news. That too a shocking one! Virat Kohli steps down from the position of the captain of the Indian Cricket Team. This is one such news, even when his haters come to know, shred in tears. Some people may not like his attitude or style, but undoubtedly, he is one of the greatest cricketing minds the game has ever seen. They don’t call him the King without any reason. This blog spread through some of the feats achieved by King Kohli as the captain.

Virat Kohli’s test stats are unbelievable. Those are enough to say that he is a legend. But what’s more important is the key decisions he has taken as a captain. Have you heard about Gabba? The home domain where the Australian team was unbeaten in the test format. Gabba was their castle where the hosts won every test match. There came a situation that whenever a match was organized in Gabba, the fans came to know the result way before the match. They had an undefeated winning trace for about 33 years.

But all of that’s mark was exhausted by the Indian cricket team under the captaincy of Virat Kohli. The Indian test team has never won in Gabba since 1988. Virat Kohli’s team has done something no one was able to do for the past 30 years. This itself speaks about the legacy he has created for the team and the country.

Statistics also prove the fact that Virat is a successful captain. The Indian team has won 40 out of 68 test series under the captaincy of Virat Kohli. No doubt that he is the best test captain the country has ever seen!

Not only in tests, Virat Kohli has shown success and has achieved some remarkable feats in ODI also. In 2018, the team won the ODI series against South Africa, making him the first Indian captain to do so. He had scored around 600 runs in that series. Also in 2019, the team won the ODI series against the Kiwis, breaking their unbeatable streak of 10 years on their home turf.

The team was named as the best traveling ODI team, beating countries like the Indies, Sri-Lanka, England, and many more in their home turfs. He holds the record for scoring 23000 runs in international cricket and stands as the No 1. ODI player in the whole world.

Virat Kohli is the second-best T20 captain in India, after Dhoni. Kohli is ranked 8th in the best captaincy list throughout the world. He is the quickest person to reach 1000 T20 runs as a batsman. Kohli has shown his legacy in all formats of cricket. Undoubtedly, he is the appropriate person to be called as the King

Even though the man has achieved these many feats, he is still getting criticized and trolled a lot. One of the recent critics for the man was for keeping Rohit Sharma in the squad and not dropping him. Virat Kohli is a great captain and he knows what to do, so give some respect to that man and stop trolling him.

In fact, don’t troll any player in general, it takes a lot for them to come to that position and it is ridiculous to judge and troll the person just by one action.

Hope this blog turns out as awareness and an initiative to stop trolling people. Let us rejoice in the moments and legacy the King has created for us!
