The word guffawing means to laugh until our ribs get tough. What a wonderful feeling right? That moment when you would want to stop laughing but your friend makes you laugh even more, is magical. Laughing is the best stress reliever. Laughing enhances the oxygen intake which in turn stimulates the functioning of other organs such as heart, lungs and muscles. Laughter also enhances the production of endorphins by the brain. As laughing stimulates the release of endorphins and it regulates breathing and heartrate, having a laughing period could make you feel relaxed and calm.

While laughing has a lot of short-term effects, it also has a lot of long-term effects. Positive emotions manifests into positive chemical reactions while on the other hand, the negative emotions explicit into negative reactions, decreasing your immunity. It may also induce the production pain relief chemicals which aids in pain relief. Laughing can also create some kind of personal satisfaction as it could strengthen interpersonal bonds with people. Laughter could also help you to ease your depression symptoms.

How to laugh and make others laugh?

Start by improving your sense of humor. Read books or watch some tv shows or movies with great sense of humor. Listen to a lot of humorous podcasts and read a lot comics if needed. As per the saying, “laugh and the world laughs with you”, always find a way to laugh about your own situations and watch your stress fading away.

Hang out with groups with people who will make your laugh. Return the favor by sharing funny stories with them and talk about the things from the past that made you laugh as nothing can strengthen a bond like sharing funny stories.

Always remember that there are things you shouldn’t joke about. For example, you shouldn’t joke about someone’s appearance or the way they talk or the dress they are wearing. You shouldn’t make fun of someone’s facial features and if they are a disabled person, their disability shouldn’t be made fun of.

You shouldn’t laugh or make others laugh at the expense of someone else. If you want to have a happy good time, it doesn’t mean that you can make it a bad time for others. There are a lot of other things to joke about if you have a very good sense of humor.
